About the founder and curator of IHORC
Lars Rosenlund Nørremark made his debut from The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in 2008 from the soloist class as a student of professor Ulrik Spang-Hanssen and cathedral organist Anders Riber. Since 2009 he has been associated with The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and teaches organ and organ science. Since 2008 he has also been associated with Vestervig Kirkemusikskole where he also teaches organ and organ science. He is an active concert player both in Denmark and abroad and has published 5 critically acclaimed CD's.
In 2017 Lars Rosenlund Nørremark was awarded with the Danish award “Ejnar Hansens Legat for organister og dirigenter” as a recognition for his “(...) astonishing work and knowledge on musical recordings from the early years of the gramophone. This has resulted in a vast data base which aims to spread the knowledge on important early recordings.”
He is also a Master of Intellectual History from Aarhus University, is a peer reviewed writer, and has held multiple lectures on music, art, and philosophy.
